I'm Devon Maes

I'm Belgian, but I've lived more than half my life in Spain. I've suffered the bureaucracy firsthand and I've seen it ruin the dreams of many.

MCV Digital Autos was born from one mission: to be the expert and the defender I never had.

My job isn't to move paper; it's to decipher the system, anticipate the traps, and fight to protect your interests.

Because your new life in Spain should be about enjoying it, not fighting against the system

GOT QUESTIONS?

The Doubts Everyone Has

(and Our Clear Answers)

How long does the entire registration process take?

It all comes down to complexity. If you have all the correct documents (like a European CoC), the process can be completed in 1-2 weeks. If your vehicle requires an individual homologation, the standard timeframe is 1 to 2 months; only extreme cases might take longer. The key difference with us is that we give you this time estimate upfront, during our initial analysis and before you pay anything. Not like other agencies where you pay first and the surprises come later.

What is the total cost? Are there hidden fees?

Our philosophy is total transparency. There are costs you pay directly to third parties, and our management fee which covers everything else.

1. Direct Third-Party Payments: The Engineer's Report (Ficha Reducida), if you need one (~€150), and the ITV inspection fee

(~€99) are paid directly by you. We coordinate everything, but we don't act as a middleman for these payments.

2. The Variable Tax (CO2): The Registration Tax depends on your car's emissions and the value assigned by the Spanish Tax Agency.

Unlike other taxes that vary by region, this is a state tax, so the rules are the same everywhere in Spain:

■ Under 120 g/km: 0% (EXEMPT)

■ 121-159 g/km: 4.75%

■ 160-199 g/km: 9.75%

■ Over 200 g/km: 14.75%

The good news is that the law provides a tax exemption for many change of residence cases. Our initial analysis is focused on verifying if you meet the requirements 100%. If so, you won't pay thousands, but a symbolic administrative fee of around €60.

3. Our Fee: Our final management fee includes our honorarium (VAT included) and covers all other fixed taxes and fees (DGT, Road Tax, etc.). No surprises. The first step is simple: fill in the form. We'll do a free preliminary study to give you a clear estimate of all these costs.

Do I have to be physically in Spain for the whole process?

Not necessarily. We manage most of the process for you remotely. However, the one step that is unavoidable is the physical inspection of the vehicle at the ITV station. It is a legal requirement for the owner (or an authorised person) to present the car for this inspection. Our job is to coordinate and prepare everything so that this visit is a quick and straightforward formality, minimising your involvement.

My case is very complicated and other agencies have said "no". Can you help?

Yes. We love a challenge. The complex cases that others reject are our specialty. We will analyse your situation and give you an honest answer on its viability.

Ready to swap frustration for peace of mind?

Take the first step now. Fill in the form and receive a preliminary assessment of your case.

It's free, non-binding, and the start of the journey to getting your car 100% legal in Spain.
